Vice President - Chief Information Officer
The CIO will be responsible for developing and executing the overall strategy and direction for the Information Technology (IT) function. Currently, leads a team of 6 direct and 48 indirect reports and has full accountability for delivering timely and effective IT/OT solutions to all departments and stakeholders.
As a member of the Shared Services Leadership Team, act as a strategic and analytical thought partner to senior leaders to achieve key business goals.
Develop a strategic information technology vision and plan that identifies ways to continuously improve GRDA’s existing information systems.
Lead short and long-term IT planning and oversee the execution of strategic projects.
Monitors and provides support to the overall development and execution of IT and cyber security projects to ensure projects are completed in a timely and effective manner.
Oversees the development of enterprise systems architecture, defining standards and protocols for data exchange, communication, and interconnection of network information systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and resiliency.
Develops and executes a plan to consistently improve IT services delivery, utilizing ITIL principles and practices, to maximize customer satisfaction.
Responsible for oversight of cyber security and compliance with the NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards.
Interacts with managers throughout GRDA to solicit input, provide information, technical analyses, business advice and process design and improvement.
Build and maintain an IT culture aligned with ‘one GRDA’ culture and 5’Es: Electricity (customer focus), Economic development, Environmental stewardship (compliance), Efficiencies (systems and process optimization), and Employees (team/relationship).
Build the systems, processes, and teams required to support growth. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to leverage new technologies to achieve key business objectives.
Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways GRDA can gain a competitive advantage.
Champion a solution-focused, action-oriented culture that is focused on business outcomes. Partner effectively with other departments to enable a high level of automation and data driven decisions.
Model an appropriate performance culture and leadership behaviors.
Maintain a highly qualified and motivated team. Responsible for all mentoring, training, and development as well as periodic and annual review.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information science, engineering, business, or related field; MBA preferred.
Proven experience as CIO or similar managerial role. Strong business acumen and strategic mindset.
Fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in a wide variety of information technology areas with a solid background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation including experience with ERP system implementation.
Thorough knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
Skilled with the ongoing transition and movement of technology:
Transition of business systems to cloud services
Data center transition to colocation
Standardization and consolidation of assets
Cyber security: Direct working experience with cybersecurity technologies.
