The Quality Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining documentation tasks within the Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment. Major accountabilities include managing compliance with the QMS document specifications, writing or updating work processes and or work instructions, audit schedule, PPAP documentation process, tracking performance metrics, corrective actions, and managing the quality training matrix.
The ideal candidate will have senior level experience in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System documentation, auditing and performance metric reporting, as well as excellent administrative, written and oral communication skills. Experience with IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP and/or PFMEA is a plus.
Develop, maintain and improve the processes and procedures within the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation for Proform Group, Inc. locations.
Communicates, organizes and distributes QMS documents to appropriate personnel.
Make recommendations regarding the Document Control System and Quality System Training processes to enhance compliance and efficiency in order to meet PGI’s growing needs.
Researches, compiles, sorts and calculates data from forms, reports and other sources to prepare and maintain robust metrics.
Categorizes and maintains manual and computerized filing systems; creates and maintains tracking system and forms; enters data, and files documents.
Collaborate with Quality team members to create training content for Quality System procedures in order to enhance training effectiveness.
Represent the Quality Department as the subject matter expert in good documentation practices, record retention regulations, and Quality System training.
Monitor team performance and provide coaching based on each individual’s development needs.
Represent/Assist the company during internal and external audits.
Prepare or update written work procedures and other technical documents as necessary.
Process all PPAP documentation.
Perform other quality administrative and regulatory-related duties as assigned.
Must report to work on a timely basis and maintain attendance in accordance with Proform Policies.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an ISO 9001 Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment is required. IATF 16949 knowledge & experience is preferred.
Requires an Associate’s Degree in Business or related field, supplemented by one to two years of experience within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System; or an equivalent combination of education, training and Quality Assurance experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to effectively perform the essential functions and responsibilities.
